Property #1: Powerful Antioxidant Property of Kangen Water® with high ORP to protect and heal - Inhibits the Cycle of Oxidation

Oxidation happens when free radicals bombard your cells. You have about 100 trillion cells in your body and every day each one of these cells is assaulted by 10,000 free radicals. That damage is called oxidation. Free radicals are just atoms or molecules that have lost an electron. That happens with exposure to UV radiation or lights. Things like fluorescent light bulbs, smoking, computers, cell phones, air travel, cars and many plants, fertilizers and pesticides. Even the water we drink and the air we breathe, those actually contain free radicals.

You can measure an antioxidant’s potential to supply electrons dispersed into a liquid by using an ORP (Oxidation/Reduction Potential) meter. And so what we can measure all these liquids here are the voltage, and these measures in millivolts. So we can either get a positive reading which means some things oxidizing to the body or if we get a negative reading that means something that is anti-oxidant or the potential to reduce oxidation.

Oxidized materials are shown as +above zero, antioxidants are either a low+ or a negative reading. Lower numbers indicate more available electrons. For example, the antioxidant CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10) has an ORP of +49mV and Wheatgrass juice has an ORP of -120mV. The negative reading of Wheatgrass juice gives it a significantly higher potential for donating electrons and neutralizing free radicals than CoQ10.

If we dip an ORP meter in different types of waters, beverages and sports drinks (including the premium imported brands) and also waters sourced from your domestic RO unit or water filter – all will show readings +above zero. This means, all of these waters are oxidizing or speeding up the ageing process. Kangen Water® of Enagic® is the only one that has the potential to reduce oxidation in the body. Now unless you have been living under a rock for the last decade, especially the recent few years, then you definitely know about antioxidants. You know that Vitamins A, C and E are antioxidants. In theory the more antioxidants you consume, the more reversal of oxidation in your body or the more it will stop that free radical damage.

Property No# 2: The Alkaline Property (pH) of Kangen Water® for Good Health

The pH of any solution is the measure of its hydrogen-ion concentration. pH is the abbreviation for “potential of hydrogen.” The higher the pH reading, the more alkaline and oxygen rich the fluid is. The lower the pH reading, the more acidic and oxygen deprived the fluid is. The pH range is from 0 to 14, with 7.0 being neutral. Anything above 7.0 is alkaline, anything below 7.0 is considered acidic.

Human blood stays in a very narrow pH range right around (7.35 - 7.45). Below or above this range means symptoms and disease. If blood pH moves towards much below 6.8 or above 7.8, cells stop functioning and the patient dies. The ideal pH for blood is 7.4

With some food grade pH drops we can test any liquid or beverage just by putting few drops in each of the solutions. You can then match the pH chart with the liquids (waters) and beverages. Most of them will show up as mildly acidic to slightly alkaline (or somewhere in between). The carbonated drinks will show up as highly acidic. In case of few premium waters, the solution will show up as slightly alkaline or neutral as some these waters are treated to make them alkaline. In some of the beverages, in the packaging it will be mentioned pH value at source – at the time of bottling. Tap water will show up as neutral to slightly alkaline as the authorities put different things in the water like chlorine, lye for disinfection. The pH of Lye is 14 and that is how they raise the pH of the tap water. If tap water is acidic, it will rust the pipe lines. So our tap waters from the Authorities will always show up from neutral to slightly alkaline.

Property No# 3: Structured Micro-clustered Kangen Water ® for Hydration, Solubility and Permeability

Water molecules are usually bound together in a random fashion and form large loosely arranged clusters. In order for cells of the human body to absorb ordinary water molecules and become hydrated, the body must expend a lot of energy to break apart the clusters. However, when water is structured, i.e., organized as single individual molecules or as a chain of individual molecules, it can readily slip into the cells of the human body.

Dr. Peter Agre was awarded with a Nobel Prize in 2003 for discovering “Aquaporins.” There are the openings that are only few molecules of water wide in every  cell.  Aquaporins are "the plumbing system for cells," said Agre. Every cell is primarily water. Aquaporins selectively conduct water molecules in and out of the cell. Also known as water channels, Aquaporins are integral membrane pore proteins.

The main reason for proper hydration of cells is that the water molecules go inside through these openings (channels) one by one with the speed of several billion per second. It is therefore very important for the human body to re-organize water in so-called single linear structure so it can easily penetrate the cells. If the water has different type of structure or if it is densely clustered (which we consume), then it requires a lot of energy for the human body to create proper structure.

We can demonstrate this property with a simple tea bag demo. How do you all make tea at home? You basically boil water and you put the tea bag in the water and let it sit for a little while so all the herbs and everything else gets drawn out of the tea bag. So you have to heat the water.

At room temperature with ordinary water not much tea comes out of the tea bag. But with Kangen Water® it makes instant tea. So the third property of Kangen Water® is the “Micro-clustering of the molecules. Regular waters groups together in much larger clusters. First we are filtering the water and we have a unique double carbon anti-bacterial filter from where water passes through. Then inside of the machine we have what is called an electrolysis chamber.
